Science for Upper Secondary Normal (Technical) Activity Book

The Science for Upper Secondary Normal (Technical) Activity Book is developed based on the 2023 Upper Secondary Science Normal (Technical) syllabus. The syllabus is situated in contexts that are authentic to students, allowing students to better appreciate the relevance of science in their daily lives, and discover how everyday phenomena can be explained using scientific concepts. Students also appreciate how science and technology have shaped and transformed society and the environment. The Activity Book and the learning experiences on SLS should be used in tandem with the Digital Textbook on SLS.

The Activity Book comprises a variety of hands-on and discussion-focused learning experiences, designed to enhance students’ learning of scientific concepts and Practices of Science through application in contextualised activities. Students also develop Values, Ethics and Attitudes through opportunities to discuss social and ethical issues and think about how their actions affect themselves and the environment.

The Activity Book aims to guide students to understand, appreciate and apply scientific concepts, practices and values to authentic contexts, to make informed decisions and take responsible actions in their everyday lives.
